Adult Plant: Venus Flytrap “Chinese Dumpling” Dionaea Muscipula Cultivar, Red Variant

We are thrilled to introduce the new and exceptionally rare cultivar, “Chinese Dumpling”! This cultivar is making its debut in the U.S., and it’s truly remarkable. Amidst a sea of unusual and mutated flytraps, this one is a true standout! At maturity, the margins of these traps become twisted, giving them a strikingly sinister appearance. When grown in strong light, these plants will blush a deep red, with vibrant green petioles.

Young plants, as well as small and winter traps, exhibit typical flytrap characteristics without significant mutation to the teeth. However, as they mature and during the warmer, sunnier months, they begin to mutate! These small-sized plants will grow vigorously again after dormancy.
