Large Adult Plant: Venus Flytrap “Trev’s Dracula” Dionaea Muscipula Cultivar

Originating from Ireland and bred by Trev Cox, this is one spectacular flytrap! The name pays homage to its sharp teeth and blood red coloration. My favorite features about this cultivar are the extreme arches it can get and the intense color banding on the outside of the traps. This plant produces that colorband more consistently than any other plant in my collection. The shape of this Venus Fly Trap is pretty awesome! The cilia are jagged like a rip saw and the arch of the traps is really pretty nice as well. I am not sure why so many of my plants are not showing much color yet this year. I am hoping that there is still time for the color to show up before they are in heavy dormancy. The petioles are already wide like a leaf and they are growing low to the ground, so dormancy is definitely here!
